for all two of my readers, i hate andy roddick very much. if you don’t know who he is, he’s an american tennis player who seems to expect the world to bow down to him because he’s the next dominant american tennis player. he was expected to win the current rca championship in indianapolis, but lost to the 98th ranked player robby ginepri (also an american). the commentators kept going on about how much of a “champion” roddick is, but in the end he self destructed because of a bad call. regular followers of the sport of tennis may remember many a tirade from john mcenroe, but never would you see him allow a questionable call take him out of his game. this is not the first time that roddick has self-destructed in a similar situation, and it’s not the only reason i think he’s contemptible. i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until a tournament about two years ago when roddick faked a broken ankle — yes, a BROKEN ANKLE — and went on to win the match because his opponent was expecting him to forfeit to injury. i could go on and on about this, but let’s just say that andy roddick is one of the most overrated players ever to play the game.
